A visa change, sometimes called a border run, renews your UAE visit visa: you exit the UAE and come back in on a new visa. You travel by coach to Al Buraimi in Oman, spend a night at a hotel on the Oman side while your new visa is processed, and return to the UAE on your new UAE visit visa. What is a visa change by bus, and how does it work?＋
It is a coach trip from the UAE to Al Buraimi in Oman: you exit the UAE and come back in on a new visit visa. Our package covers the transport, the Oman visa, the hotel night and the processing of your new UAE visit visa.
Do I need an Oman visa? Is it included?＋
Yes, you need one, and it is included in the package together with the hotel night, the UAE exit fees, the transport and your new UAE visit visa.
Do I stay overnight in Al Buraimi?＋
Yes. A hotel night on the Oman side is included while your new visa is processed.
How long does the visa change take?＋
It depends on how quickly the new visa is issued. The package includes a hotel night in Oman, and our team confirms your travel dates when you book.
Where does the visa-change bus leave from?＋
From our offices in Ajman, Sharjah and Dubai. If you live in Abu Dhabi, you can apply at our office there and board at one of these three.
What documents do I need?＋
Your passport, a recent passport-style photo and a copy of your last UAE visa. You upload them when you apply online, and our team checks them before you travel.
Can every nationality do a visa change by bus?＋
Entry rules for Oman and the UAE depend on your nationality and can change. Send us your passport details on WhatsApp or visit an office before you apply, and our team will tell you whether the trip works for you. The official UAE rules are published by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP).
Can I do a visa change if I have overstay fines?＋
Tell us about any fines when you book. Fines are owed to the UAE authorities and usually have to be cleared before you exit, and our team will explain the steps for your case.
What is the difference between a bus visa change and an A2A visa change?＋
With an A2A (airport to airport) change you fly out of the UAE and fly back in on the new visa. A visa change by bus does the exit and re-entry by road through Al Buraimi, with a hotel night in Oman. Which one suits you depends on your visa type and nationality.
Can I change my visa without leaving the UAE?＋
Some visa holders can change their status inside the country, depending on their visa type and the rules in force. Check the official ICP or GDRFA websites, or ask an approved typing centre. If you do need to exit and re-enter, our bus trip does it by road.
