07Before you book

What documents do I need to travel to Saudi Arabia by bus?

Every traveller needs a passport. GCC citizens enter Saudi Arabia with their national ID card; nationalities on the Saudi eVisa list can apply for an eVisa online; everyone else needs a valid Saudi visa or iqama before travel. UAE residents should also carry their Emirates ID. Check the official Saudi visa platform before you book.

Where do the coaches board?

Our coaches to Riyadh and Dammam board at our offices in Dubai (Al Murar, Deira), Sharjah (Al Soor) and Abu Dhabi (New Shahamah), and some Riyadh departures also board at our Ajman office. Your e-ticket names your office. Scheduled coaches pick up only at our offices.

Can I travel on to Doha or Bahrain?

Yes, with a separate SAT ticket from Dammam. Take our coach from the UAE to Dammam, then the SAT coach from Dammam to Doha, via the Salwa border, or to Manama, over the King Fahd Causeway. Search Dammam to Doha or Dammam to Manama to book it.

How much luggage can I take?

On our coaches to Riyadh and Dammam each passenger has 40 kg in the hold, as two bags of 20 kg, plus a hand bag on board. Tell us about anything extra or bulky when you book. A SAT ticket from Dammam to Doha or Manama shows its own allowance.

How can I pay for my ticket?

Pay by card on our website or in the app, and your e-ticket arrives straight away. On WhatsApp we send you a secure payment link. At any of our four offices you can pay by card, or reserve and pay cash before the payment deadline shown on your booking.

What is the QR pass?

Every passenger gets their own QR pass with the e-ticket. Our team scans it at the coach door, one traveller at a time, and checks passports and visas before boarding. Keep it open on your phone, in the app or the WhatsApp chat, or bring it printed.

Can my family follow the coach?

Yes. Every e-ticket for our coaches has a live tracking link. Share it with your family or whoever is meeting you, and they can follow the coach on a map and reach the station at the right moment. The Belad Al Sham app shows the coach live too.

Who is SAT, and where do the coaches arrive?

SAT is our Saudi partner. Our VVIP coaches to Riyadh and Dammam are operated with SAT and arrive at the SAT station in each city; in Riyadh it is in Al Aziziyah. The SAT coaches from Dammam to Doha and Manama show their arrival point on the ticket.

Can I hire a whole coach for a group?

Yes. We hire out whole coaches with a driver to companies, schools, events and organised Umrah groups. For Umrah, the group arranges its own Umrah and we provide the coach. Send us your plan, and we agree the pickup point with you and send a quote.
