UAE to Saudi Arabia by Bus

Everything you need to take the bus from the UAE to Riyadh or Dammam: where to board, how to book, which documents to carry and what happens at the border, from a licensed Dubai passenger transport company working with its partner SAT.

Who runs the bus from the UAE to Saudi Arabia

Belad Al Sham Passenger Transport (بلاد الشام لنقل الركاب بالحافلات) is a licensed Dubai passenger transport company, operating since 1983 and featured in Gulf News. We sell the seats, check your documents and board you at our own offices, and the coaches to Riyadh and Dammam run with our partner SAT.

Booking with us means one company from start to finish: we answer your questions on WhatsApp, check your documents at the office and send your e-ticket.

Where the bus goes: Riyadh and Dammam

We sell seats to two Saudi cities. Open the page for your departure office to see the boarding details, documents and answers for that route.

Riyadh

Riyadh

The Saudi capital. Coaches arrive at the SAT station in Al Aziziyah.

Dammam

Dammam

The capital of the Eastern Province. Ask us for the exact arrival point when you book.

Where you board

We board passengers only at our offices, never at malls, roundabouts or home addresses. Riyadh and Dammam coaches board at three of our four offices. Our Ajman office sells tickets for both cities, but the coaches do not board there.

How to book

Choose whichever way suits you. Fares depend on the date and ticket type, and you always see the full amount before you pay.

  • Online at beladelsham.com: search your route and date, pay by card and get your QR e-ticket straight away.
  • In the Belad Al Sham app on iOS and Android.
  • On WhatsApp at +971 4 271 0620: send your details and our team books for you.
  • At any of our four offices in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi: pay by card, or reserve and pay cash before the payment deadline shown on your booking.

Documents you need

Every traveller, including children, needs a passport. Most nationalities also need a valid Saudi visa or a Saudi residence permit (iqama). GCC citizens can travel with their national ID card. If you live in the UAE, carry your Emirates ID as well.

Saudi entry rules are set by the Saudi authorities, depend on your nationality and can change. Check yours with the official sources below before you book: documents are checked at the border, so make sure everything is valid for your travel date.

We link to these for convenience; the authorities' own pages are the final word.

Crossing the border

The coach crosses the UAE–Saudi land border. You complete UAE exit formalities, then Saudi entry formalities, and customs inspects luggage. Time at the border varies with traffic and checks, so be patient and follow the driver's guidance.

Keep your passport, visa or ID and your e-ticket in your hand luggage, not in the hold. Never carry bags, parcels or items for other people, and only pack what you know you are allowed to take into Saudi Arabia.

Luggage, children and family

Your ticket includes a luggage allowance in the coach's hold. If you are travelling with extra or oversized items, ask our team when you book. Keep a small bag with you for documents, medication, water, snacks and a phone charger.

Children travel with their own passport and the same entry documents as adults. Tell us the ages of the children in your group when you book, and our team will advise on tickets for children and infants.

On the coach

This is a long-distance road trip, much of it on desert highway. The coaches are air-conditioned, so a light jacket helps, and comfortable clothes, a charged phone and something to read or watch make the journey easier.

Arriving in Riyadh and Dammam

In Riyadh, the coach arrives at the SAT station in Al Aziziyah. In Dammam, ask our team for the exact arrival point when you book. In both cities, taxis and ride-hailing apps are the simplest way to continue, so keep your phone charged, with roaming on or a Saudi SIM ready.

Live tracking for family

Every e-ticket includes a live tracking link. Share it with family or whoever is meeting you, and they can follow the coach on a map during your trip.

Coming back

Planning your return? Ask us about return options when you book, and our team will tell you what is available for your dates.
