Who runs the bus to Dammam
Belad Al Sham Passenger Transport, a licensed Dubai passenger transport company since 1983, sells the seats and boards passengers at its own offices, and the coaches to Dammam run with its partner SAT. Dammam is the capital of Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, and many travellers take the bus to visit family, start a new job or do business there.
Choose your boarding office
Dammam coaches board at three of our offices: Dubai (Al Murar, Deira), Sharjah (Al Soor, near King Faisal Mosque) and Abu Dhabi (Al Nahhat Street, New Shahamah). Pick the one closest to you when you book. Our Ajman office sells Dammam tickets, but the coaches do not board in Ajman, so Ajman travellers usually board in Sharjah.
We board passengers only at our offices, never at malls, roundabouts or home addresses. Arrive early so our team can check your documents before boarding.
Documents for Saudi Arabia
Bring a passport for every traveller, children included. Most nationalities also need a valid Saudi visa or a Saudi iqama; GCC citizens can travel with their national ID. If you live in the UAE, carry your Emirates ID too.
Entry rules are set by the Saudi authorities and can change, so check the official Saudi visa platform or a Saudi embassy before you book.
Luggage: what goes in the hold and what stays with you
Your ticket includes a luggage allowance in the coach's hold. Moving to Dammam with more than usual? Tell our team when you book so we can advise on extra or oversized items.
Keep documents, medication, valuables, a phone charger, water and snacks in a small bag with you. Customs may inspect luggage at the border, so pack neatly and never carry anything for someone else.
At the border
The coach crosses the UAE–Saudi land border, where you complete UAE exit and Saudi entry formalities and customs checks luggage. Time at the border varies; follow the driver's guidance and keep your documents in your hand luggage.
Arriving in Dammam
Ask our team for the exact arrival point in Dammam when you book, and save it on your phone along with your final address. Taxis and ride-hailing apps are the easiest way to continue, whether you are staying in Dammam or heading to a nearby city in the Eastern Province.
Share the live tracking link on your e-ticket with whoever is meeting you, so they can follow the coach and be there when you arrive.
Travelling with children
Children need their own passport and Saudi entry documents, just like adults. Tell us their ages when you book and our team will advise on tickets for children and infants.
Ready to book?
Search your route online and pay by card for an instant QR e-ticket, use the Belad Al Sham app, message us on WhatsApp, or visit any of our four offices to pay by card or reserve and pay cash before the payment deadline shown on your booking. Fares depend on the date and ticket type, and you see the full amount before you pay. Need a return? Ask us about return options when you book.
